Martin Böttinger (Partner and guest speaker of the blu Gruppe AG):
Data Activity – center piece of end-to-end Monitoring
Enterprise IT-Infrastructures do leek automated observation and control mechanisms. To overcome silo-focused trouble-shooting and incident management we demonstrate how to involve „technical KPIs“ in a lean and high-frequent observation of „Data Activity“. The presentation will outline how to transform key database and infrastructures metrics to an end-to-end view on Data Activity (across different application layers). Referencing two customer projects will give additional insight in the fields of operations, auditing and security
Christian Vögele (fortiss GmbH):
Load testing – Challenges and State-of-the Art Techniques
Many software systems must service a hugh amount of concurrent requests. To ensure that they work correctly under load these systems must be load tested before going to production. However, load testing is a difficult task requiring a good understanding of the system under test. Practitioners face many challenges such as tooling (choosing and implementing testing tools), environments (software and hardware setup) and time (limited time to design, test, and analyze). The presentation will give an introduction to the state-of-the art load testing techniques and challenges. Further, it gives an overview of current research projects at fortiss GmbH.
